What you get
Everything we make for you comes out of one set of rules, so all of it looks like the same company. Here is what is in those rules, and the kind of thing that arrives at the end.
What is in the guideline
Six parts and about sixty rules, each with an example beside it. Open it and you know what to do, whether you are making a business card or a trade show booth.
Color
Every color written down as a value, with the job each one does and where it is allowed to go.
Type
Which typeface does which job, at what size, and how tight the lines sit under one another.
The mark
How the logo is drawn, how much room it needs around it, and what may never be done to it.
Layout
The grid every page is built on, and the one list of spacing values that every gap comes from.
Photography
What a picture of the work should look like, with examples of right and wrong side by side.
Voice
How the company sounds in a sentence, the words it uses, and the words it refuses.
There is only so much a list can tell you. We will walk you through a finished guideline, end to end, so you can see how a rule and its example sit together.
What we hand over
No two companies need the same set, so we work out your list together and write it into the contract before we start. Everything on it arrives as a file you can open. A typical list runs like this.
